Tulsa Self-Paced Architecture Tour
Sunday, June 1, 2008 | 12pm to 4pm
Featuring the architecture of Gene Starr and the influence of Bruce Goff. Eight unique and beautiful properties will be open to visitors between 12 noon and 4 pm. Begin your journey at the Hotel Ambassador, 1324 S. Main St., Tulsa, Oklahoma to purchase tickets onsite and/or pick up your packet of information and map for your self-paced tour. Afterward, tour participants are invited to gather at the Hotel Ambassador to be bused to the Bruce Goff designed Spotlight Theater for drinks, light hor’ doevres and a Chautauqua presentation by Ted Kachel as Frank Lloyd Wright.
Cost: $40 members, $50 non-members. Tickets can be purchased online or via phone at 918.336.4949. Those who pre-purchase their tickets by May 23 will recieve a complimentary copy of the Price Tower Arts Center produced Free Thought: The Art and Architecture of Bruce Goff catalogue, a 43 page full color catalogue.
Proceeds will benefit the Arts Center’s Architecture Study Center program that is open to scholars, students and the general public.
