New Trustees Join Price Tower Arts Center Board

BARTLESVILLE, OK – Price Tower Arts Center is pleased to announce four new members to its board of trustees.   Patti Berney, Byron Boles, Kelly Diven and Ford Drummond have joined the 20 member panel that oversees the operations for PTAC.

“We are pleased to have these four individuals joining our board.  Each brings a diverse background that, I believe, will fit well with our mission at Price Tower Arts Center,” said Price Tower Arts Center Executive Director Timothy Boruff.

Patti Berney, a Wichita native and alumnus of Fort Hays State University, first moved to Bartlesville in 1981 with her husband, Rand.  She was an active Berneyvolunteer around Bartlesville for 22-years.  In 2003, the Berneys relocated to Houston where she continued to support the Red Cross, Greenspoint Mission, Target Hunger and the Special Olympics.  Since returning to Bartlesville in 2009, Berney is also active on the boards of Mary Martha Outreach, Family Crisis and Counseling, and the Friends of Frank Phillips Home.

Patti and Rand Berney have been married for 32 years and have two adult children.  Their son, Jason, lives in Princeton, New Jersey.  Their daughter, Kristin, lives in Dallas.  In her free time, Berney enjoys running, golf, reading and spending time with family.

Byron Boles is a 1987 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.  After graduating from college, he joined his father in the family’s retail Bolesjewelry business and also launched a commercial real estate development and management firm.  He has recently acquired a managing partnership interest in Eggberts Restaurants.  Boles also serves on the executive committee of the Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce where he is treasurer.  He is a board member of Bruin Pom and a board representative on the Bruin All Sports Booster Club.  During the Spring of 2010, he will also serve a term on the board of directors of the Hillcrest Country Club.

Byron and his wife, Tracy have four children.  Mackenzie is 15.  Keaton is 11.  Grayson is nine-years-old and Griffin is six.

The President and CEO of 66 Federal Credit Union, Kelly Diven, also joins the Price Tower Arts Center Board of Trustees.

DivenDiven graduated from Tulsa University in 1976, and is a Certified Public Account.  He worked in public accounting for 10 years, prior to coming to Bartlesville.  He joined 66 Federal Credit Union in 1991 as Chief Financial Officer and became Chief Operations Officer in 1994 and Chief Executive Officer in 1998.

Kelly Diven is a member of the Oklahoma Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s, and currently serves on the Credit Union National Association’s Accounting Task Force and the Board of Directors of the Credit Union Association of Oklahoma. He also is serving as the Chairman of the Board of Managers for Credit Union House, LLC.

Kelly currently serves on the boards of the Bartlesville Regional United Way, Bartlesville Community Foundation, Rogers State University Foundation, Elder Care and Circles Out of Poverty.

Kelly is married to Cindy, his wife of 35 years.  They have two children and one grandson.

DrummondFord Drummond also joins the board.   Drummond is the third generation to manage the family’s ranch in Osage County.  He is a graduate of Pawhuska High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Stanford University in 1985.  In 1989, he graduated from the University of Virginia with a law degree.  Prior to returning to Oklahoma in 1998, he was in private law practice in San Francisco and also served as the Legislative Assistant to a member of Congress on the Ways and Means Committee.  He was also the Legislative Counsel to the American Medical Association in Washington, D.C. 

Drummond lives in Bartlesville with his wife, Vanessa, and their three children, Virginia, Russell, and Margaret.  He serves on several state and national boards, including the Oklahoma Water Resources Board and the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Executive Committee.  Drummond also serves as a Trustee for the Allianz Mutual Fund complex.  His hobbies include skiing, tennis and running, and he has completed five marathons including the Boston Marathon in 2008.

“We are very appreciative that these four have agreed to serve Price Tower Arts Center and the entire community,” added Boruff.

Other members of the Price Tower Arts Center Board of Trustees include:  Kenneth Adams, Billie Barnett, Charlie Daniels (Vice President), Brad Doenges, John Duvall, George Kravis, Catherin Lenhart, Judy Moreland, Robbie Morris (Vice Chairman and President), Carolyn Price, Patricia Romines (Secretary), Lanny Seals, Pete Silas (Chairman), Theo Silas, Lynda Tippeconnic, and Joe Walker.
 

 

About Price Tower

The landmark destination for art, architecture and design, Price Tower Arts Center, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, provides local, regional and global audiences with the experience of great art, architecture and design in an arts complex whose centerpiece is Frank Lloyd Wright's only skyscraper, the Price Tower.

This National Historic Landmark building, completed in 1956, contains a museum with permanent and changing exhibition galleries; original and restored historic Wright interiors (available by tour); and The Wright Place museum store.

Historic tours are available with advanced reservations. Admission is $10 adults, $8 seniors (65+), $5 students and children 16 and under and includes admission to the museum exhibitions (tax not included as may be applicable).
